    At APEX Space & Defense Systems, we produce composite components for highly sophisticated satellite systems.     Precision-Engineered Components for Satellite Systems

    Composite components we design and manufacture for satellite systems include:

    • Solar Panels: We design and manufacture composite satellite solar array sandwich panels from a dedicated 20,000 ft2 facility, using state-of-the-art manufacturing clean rooms, equipment and industry-leading expertise. 
    • Solar Panel Arrays: In addition to solar panels, we manufacture and assemble fully integrated solar arrays. APEX SDS is a one-stop shop for satellite system power supply, offering full bonding, assembly, and testing services. 
    • Payload, Bus Modules, and Structural Components: APEX develops and manufactures composite payload bays, bus modules, and structural frames and components for satellite housings. Our components provide the structure and stability for the satellite systems to work flawlessly.
    • Filament Wound Liners for COPV/Propellent Systems: We develop components used for satellite propellant systems, as well as fully customized components for unique application requirements.
    • Antenna and Dishes: We produce high-precision antennas and satellite dishes for communication and data transmission. Even at high rate manufacturing of 120 dishes per week, we’re able to hold 75 micron surface deviation tolerance over a 2 meter dish. Our dishes and backing components are crafted to withstand extreme conditions while maintaining signal performance.
