Launch Vehicle Panels
At APEX Space & Defense Systems (APEX SDS), we have unique capabilities to produce composite flat, curved, and cylindrical launch vehicle panels embedded with metal or composite honeycomb cores. Our facilities and equipment enable us to produce panels of sizes up to 40’ x 20’, with the strength, lightweight, and thermal features necessary for mission-critical assemblies.
Spacecraft Panel Capabilities
We provide close-tolerance fabrication to deliver spacecraft panels made to our customers’ exact specifications. For flat and curved panels, we create prepreg laminates or prepreg and honeycomb core sandwich constructions. To deliver cylindrical shapes, we offer hand lay-up and filament winding processes. Our experts produce spacecraft panels to maintain strength at extremely high temperatures and withstand rapid temperature changes to meet application requirements.
