APEX Huntington Beach Timeline

Advanced Composite Products & Technology (ACPT) is a recognized industry leader and innovator in the design and manufacturing of filament wound and hand laid up composites for defense, space, and communications market segments. Early in their history, ACPT designed and provided driveshafts for APEX’s All American Racers business unit for Dan Gurney, an American racing legend. Since then, the company has designed and produced specialized drive shafts for defense ground vehicles, naval vessels as well as continuing to support other highly engineered drive system requirements. While drive shafts are a core business for ACPT, they also provide other critical composites components such as: pressure tanks, landing leg actuation arms, fuel line supports, satellite launch tubes, satellite struts and much more. In 2019, ACPT expanded to a second facility in Schofield Wisconsin for high rate production of filament wound parts. Through our many years of experience in supporting the defense industry, ACPT is able to support mission critical programs.

In November of 2020, the Advanced Composite Products & Technology business was acquired by Charger Investment Partners providing the initial foundation for the APEX Space & Defense business.
