Overview

All American Racers (AAR) was founded in 1965 when Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby joined forces to establish a race car company together with the backing of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Gurney and Shelby were in a very successful and victorious relationship as a driver and team owner of Shelby Cobras and Shelby Fords. From their history in designing and manufacturing racing cars under Dan Gurney, AAR has transitioned to specializing in the design and manufacturing of advanced composite and metal structures for the defense and space industries. AAR is a leader in prototyping through high-volume production of mission-critical defense Uncrewed platforms, launch vehicle landing legs and ground base satellite dishes. Customers trust AAR as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for design, machining, fabrication, assembly and validation testing.

 

Manufacturing Excellence

AAR’s vast Southern California factory houses a state of the art composite and materials department, engineering design office, as well as a CNC machine shop, metal fabrication facility as well as assembly and test centers. AAR expertise supports the smallest hand launched weaponized drones to very large launch vehicle landing leg structures.

Over the past 20 years, AAR has become a major supplier of small and large aircraft parts and solutions. The company with its fabled racing history provides a link to the glory days of motorsport and at the same time manages to be on the cutting edge of aerospace technology. We remember the past with fondness but are focused on supporting our aerospace and defense customers on the future.

 

Our Racing Culture Results in On Time Performance

We employ a highly skilled and educated workforce with a culture of succeeding under enormous time pressures due to our Racing history – “you have to get the car to the starting line to have any chance of winning the race.” This mantra is now part of our Aerospace culture.
