Similar to our New Product Development (NPD) teams, APEX Space & Defense Systems has created New Product Introduction (NPI) to successfully introduce Build to Print and other simpler composite parts into our facility. While the process of introducing new parts into a factory may seem simple, in reality, working with different drawing conventions, different customer process for layup and cure, old drawings, old and/or used tools, etc. can be time consuming and inefficient. To successfully produce FAI parts and then ramp up to production levels, APEX uses a New Product Introduction process utilizing our sustaining engineering groups.

Our NPI groups specialize in documentation, standard procedures, customer processes, quality system development and full rate production preparation. Our dedicated teams support the transition of products from their development cycle to their production cycle by working closely with the customer and making any necessary product, manufacturing or process changes to achieve full rate, cost effective production.
