Assembly, Integration & Testing
To support our customers, APEX Space & Defense Systems provides solutions for our customers’ requirements. Regardless of if it’s a small composite part or a complete assembly including wiring, integration and testing, APEX is ready and capable to support. An example of our assembly, integration and testing capability would be our large launch vehicle landing legs. Each landing leg is assembled from smaller individual composite parts, bolted and bonded together. Once the landing leg is fully assembled, wiring harnesses, hydraulic lines and hardware are attached and mounted to the assembly. To ensure each landing leg can support the rigorous landing environment, each fully assembled leg is tested at APEX in a custom APEX designed test rig. After each leg is successfully tested, they are shipped to the launch site for final launch vehicle attachment in an APEX custom designed and manufactured shipping fixture.
