    APEX Space & Defense Systems provides critical components for Ground Station Receivers (Gateways) for internet connectivity such as Starlink. Precisely controlled tooling design combined with specialized manufacturing processes allows us to maintain extremely tight surface and shape uniformity across large surface areas where any small deviation could lead to suboptimal product performance or failure to perform. APEX can design, develop, and manufacture critical solutions for your satellite system requirements.

    Composite components we design and manufacture for satellite systems include:

    • SatCom Ground Station Systems: We manufacture extremely tight tolerance ground station communication systems required for low-latency, high-speed satellite communications.  To support this rapidly growing market, APEX deployed significant Lean Manufacturing process improvements coupled with internally designed and built enhanced tooling to successfully increase production rates to 25 times the original production rate.

    • Innovative Tooling Solutions: To support both the build rate and the exacting design requirements of Ground Station Receivers, APEX custom designed layup and trim tools for this program.
